Weekend of October 17, 1997
Joe Morgan hooked me up with Randy Schiltz of the Merkur group and a bunch
of us are going to the Pomona Fairplex to watch Joe run at the Pomona
Import Drags (remember Joe's running his Pinto under the premise that the
block is from Brazil!

I definitely want to see Joe Morgan run his SVO-Powered Pinto. Back in July
Joe took me for a ride in it after the South Bay Mustang Owners All-Ford
show in Torrance...pretty cool! Neil and I are planning to go -- I'm sure I
won't run my car though...it's
not quite ready to do that sort of thing. We definitely like to meet up
with our
Merkur cousins whenever we can! Any Turbo Ford guys are welcome!

Later in the Calendar:
A Malibu Grand Prix event in San Diego will probably be planned in
November or early December, so we'll try to keep you posted.

As for other So. Cal. events, definitely plan on Fabulous Fords Forever at
Knott's Berry Farm on Sunday April 19, 1998. For more information on last
year's show, visit Ken Tidwell's Merkur Resource page at

as he was with a group of guys that came down from up North! For next
year's event information, please visit www.fordcarclubs.org or

Hope to see you guys there! E-mail for meeting place information (if we
have any).
